Congressman Cohen attempted to surgically remove his foot from his mouth after going on a local Fox affiliate where he said in reference to Sen. Clinton, "Glenn Close should have just stayed in the tub." Over at Egalia's house, Rep. Cohen left a comment apologizing for his remark:

Get involved in this presidential campaign! Let your voice be heard! Show the world how you feel. If you support the policies and character of John McCain, please drive with your headlights on during the day. If you support Obama or Hillary, please drive with your headlights off at night.

While the Democratic Party has been busy tearing itself apart, John McCain has used the time to strengthen his relationships with those on the right who were previously tepid in their support of his candidacy including members of the Nashville Religious Right:

Huffington Post has yet more confirmation for their assertion that John McCain did not vote for George Bush in 2000:

...And Obama's response is to attack John McCain for mentioning it. But seriously, it is unsurprising that Hamas would prefer Barack Obama. He, after all, has a foreign policy advisor - Robert Malley - whose enthusiasm for Hamas and disdain for Israel is well-known thanks to Malley's own published writings.

OK, so Sen. Obama says that John McCain has "lost his bearings" in reference to his attacks on Obama as somehow being endorsed by Hamas. Most objective observers would know that this means John McCain's straight talk express has taken a bit of a detour into gutter politics.
