I'm going to allow myself one more post on this topic, and then I'm going to spare you all (and myself) any further misery.

Well, the 100% chance didn't last very long...latest, updated forecast calls for a 50% chance...the rest of the week looks fantastic.

We’re thinking of taking a vacation to Belize. We love Mayan ruins. Heat and humidity doesn’t bother us. I like relatively short flights - and this would be in the same time zone.

.....At 2:30 pm on Friday, June 13, 2008, strong thunderstorm-induced winds caused damage to a manufacturing plant wall 3 miles South of Sparta, TN.
.....Nearly 200 linear feet of the wall was blown out crushing several vehicles on the outside of the plant.

Tonight, as I drove to pickup my teenager from my parent's houseboat, I came across down trees and limbs on Highway 96 just south of Interstate 40 off the 268 Exit. This damage was caused earlier in the day when a strong thunderstorm roared through our area. (will post photos later)
