For the second year in a row, we celebrate pairing BBQ and beer together on this Memorial Day weekend. Last year, we explored several pairings, and we're doing the same this year, with three beers and various types of BBQ. In this week's Nashville Scene, reporter Jeff Woods quotes the curator of the National Civil Rights Museum as saying that King "leaned" toward a "more liberal" party affiliation.

The Knoxville Museum of Art offers a big exhibition of small works with its Size Matters: XS – Recent Small-Scale Paintings from March 28 – August 24, 2008.

The exhibition includes 42 works by some of America’s most important painters including Thordis Adalsteinsdottir, Justin Allen, and Francis Alÿs.

The old Stanford experiments have fascinated me since I first learned about them some 20 years ago, because I like to think I would have never succumbed to the moral and ethical outrages that became increasingly commonplace.
