The smokers gather outside my window every day. Not to stare at me,
mind you, but because that is the designated smoking area.

Because of this I've become something of an amateur anthropologist. I
watch the interplay of the social group. Twenty minute conversations
can erupt from the simple phrase, "Gotta light?" Though both smoke,
they politely blow their noxious emissions away from the other.
