She’s a talented writer, great conversationalist and very, very bright. She is also a passionate, articulate and intelligent defender of her Muslim faith.

The Nashville Scene chronicles the Tennessee Republican Party’s grandiose statements on the war in Iraq, comparing it most often to a religious war between Christians and Muslims. Not only is this irresponsible on the part of an already-chastised party, but it shows an ignorance of national security matters, most notably the fact that we are  fighting terrorists.
