USA TODAY has posted on its website the government’s best estimates of heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia death rates for every U.S. hospital for two years. They provide a program that allows you to compare any local hospital with another in your zip code to see how they stack up.

Since droning on endlessly about being sick and, ZOMG the steroid crazies, isn't exactly curing me, I suppose I'll stop talking about it.

Or, not.

I really don't know because, see above: steroid. crazy.

The voices are telling me to keep blogging about it, though.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Nobel Prize-winning novellist who depicted the rigors of the Stailn era gulags in his The Gulag Archipelago, has died of heart failure at 89.

And can I just say this 101 degree weather is totally for the birds*?

My poor window unit acts like it’s going into heart failure every day about 3 or 4 in the afternoon lately.

One of my favorite comedians, George Carlin, has died of heart failure. At 71 he was still funnier and edgier than many of the comedians out there...tis a shame. Enjoy this classic.

The country has lost one of the finest "social issues" comedians we've ever had and comedy will never be the same without him.

I am heartbroken....
