A man armed with a knife robbed a Mapco market on Donelson Pike, police said Monday morning.

Metro police Capt. Randy Hickerson said that at about 3:45 a.m. today, a man armed with a knife entered the store at 465 Donelson Pike and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk gave him money from the register, and the robber then fled on foot.

My Mother-in-Law emailed me this morning, I thought it would be good to post a reminder of basic safety rules we should all be following no matter where you live.

I heard from a coworker that Family Wash was robbed at gunpoint last night. Anyone heard this? He said the robber took the wallets of everyone there.
