A bill to make the second simple assault of a health care worker a felony was killed. The main issue was we don't offer the same protection to police, firefighters or any other health or safety worker so their was a equal protection under the law issue for many people. Others felt it was cruel to people who may be off their medication or injured and not in their right mind.

So this morning Tennessee once again hit the national news with unreasonable attacks from the GOP on Obama and his wife.
