I've raised similar questions with our HMIS database, which tracks services delivered to those who report they are homeless to various service agencies in Nashville.

I'm not totally against the use of HMIS but I AM against using a person's name in the database simply to track and monitor them.

Some interesting folks are lining up behind U.S. Senate Democratic candidate Mike Padgett in his race against Bob Tuke. Some are no surprise. Randy Button is a former partner in the firm running the campaign, for example. Some other names have a bit of pop to them, however.

If all goes well, today, the three month writers strike could be over as soon as tomorrow. Aside from the millions of dollars being lost in film and television production, the live late night talk shows will be the happiest about this.

Other than David Letterman and Craig Ferguson, who made a deal with their writers, late night talk shows have been hurting for both content and quality guests.

No "A" stars have appeared on Leno, Maher, O'Brien, Stewart or Colbert since the strik
