Thank goodness someone has pushed this issue into the public eye. I mentioned the other day that there were gazillions of new faces around town and they just keep coming in.

I'm always proud as hell when I see folks I know from the street doing something to smash the stereotypical image of the those who are homeless. My friend Patty, the author of the piece here, would blow you away with her erudite manner, her style, grace and composure.

And if their count is anything at all like the ones done in the US, we can guesstimate that about five times that number are actually on the streets and in the alleys of these 13 cities....
