It’s quarter after midnight and I just got home from a late-night mastering session with the great Vance Powell. I am so loving getting to work with people better than me. I feel like I learn about a dozen things every day I’m at the studio, and I know it’s making me better at what I do.

My brother, sister-in-law and I were discussing the Generations at dinner a while back. My brother was born in 1951, ten years before me, so we are the front and back of the boomer generation, mostly. He has two kids, both boys (men, actually), one Gen X and one Millennial.

While I was disappointed that Led Zeppelin isn't on the line up for this year's Bonnaroo [at least, not yet] there was another omission that perplexed me. Where's Tal Wilkenfeld? I first heard of this incredible artist a couple of months ago while watching the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival on PBS. ...

In the evening, on April 23, 2008, Chattanoogans will have the opportunity to witness one of the least expected yet most appropriate musical collaborations in recent history.

Allison Krauss, who not too long ago graced the stage of Memorial Auditorium with Jerry Douglas and Tony Rice (marking the umpteenth time I've missed a chance to see Tony Rice live), is on tour this Spring with legendary Led Zeppelin frontman (and solo artist in his own right) Robert Plant.
