In the midst of the shambles that is our economy, it is sometimes hard to put things into perspective and see that we as a people have indeed been through bad times before. Wearied from news that is relentlessly grim, cynicism is the most likely response to any sentiment that we might have the power to fix what is wrong.

Ok, we have all seen or heard about how Britney Spears botched her "come back." Yes, it was bad, yes, I think she probably had three too many margaritas before she went on stage and yes, the poor girl's entire life and career is in shambles. However, to say that she is fat? I have to disagree with that one...
