Matthew Ryan Vs. The Silver State

The highlight of my weekend was having my grandparents in town. Grandma and Grandpa Graham (my mom’s parents) were passing through Nashville. They are on their way from Florida, where they winter, back to Toledo, Ohio, where they live.

Opening night at Three Flights Up this last Friday was cool. I met a lot of people and had a great time showing my artwork, and watching and listening to people as they examined the pieces at this show. It's so nice to be able to get feedback on my work. I was surprised at how many people knew my work was Fractals.

At Crosspoint, we get the opportunity to do quite a few weddings. Brandi really wanted to go to this one with me, but didn’t get to make it, so I took a few pictures for her. I thought I would post them so you could enjoy as well.

So yesterday I met Dan from biggest loser here at GMA. So far it is the highlight of the whole event!

Congratulations to David Hunter, recipient of the 2008 Knoxville Writer's Guild Career Achievement Award.

Sister and I went there on Monday night.

So freakin' good.

The highlight: Creme brulee french toast with caramelized bananas. It was as good as it sounds. Diana and I literally ate our (separate) servings like we were starving peasants. We're Howard girls. We get dessert. And appetizers. Every Time We Go Out.
