Musique Max: Keep the Downloads, But With the Usual Catch

Over the last few days I've read a bit about Musique Max, the new music download service by French carrier Orange. The service, available only in France, gives the subscriber 500 downloads per month for €12 ($18.43) per month (on par with Omnifone's MusicStation service).

• The Abu Dhabi Media Company and AMES, a Middle Eastern affiliate of Bertelsmann, have launched a download store called GETMO that offers music, videos, games and other digital content. The site sells a la carte downloads but will emphasize sponsored content such as downloads bundled with consumer products.

The cost of everything hasbeen rising unmercifully, and for many things we’ve made personal cuts. Trying not to use the car for un-necessary trips to the store, cut back on how much food we buy, even though food companies have increased the price while making the packages smaller.
