Before our homeless vets get too excited about hearing the news on the House approval of the "Homes For Heroes" legislation that would provide a much needed and widely welcomed shot in the arm for resources currently available to veterans, better take a deep breath and prepare to spend a few more months under the underpass.

A common theme among many of the Homeless Vets I work with on a daily basis. From "ruler of my domain" to "just another brick in the wall," the transition is often more difficult than they can face.

And our lack of support, services and resources to assist them as they transition should be viewed as a travesty beyond words. That we cannot offer the men and women who put their lives on the line defending us and our country is just a shameful disgrace.
