I have been debating whether an incident that occurred yesterday at a very large, well attended meeting should be mentioned publicly because a gentleman who was the target of a police "dog and pony show" at this meeting has suffered enough embarrassment and shame already.

Check out the very first comment posted on the Washington Times site with this article; it illustrates the stunning ignorance, the callousness, the racism and the utter stupidity of some of our fellow citizens:

By now, you probably have seen the video of the elderly man getting hit by a car whose driver couldn’t be bothered to stop. As if that initial incident wasn’t bad enough, the footage grows even more disgusting as you watch several other cars drive by the helpless man as if he was a piece of litter.

Former Tennessean columnist Tim Chavez is still not a big fan of Phil Bredesen:

A Colorado judge has dismissed charges against a man who caused a fatal car crash, because the victim, at 8½ months of a pregnancy, had only been scheduled for a C-section to be born, and that had not yet happened at the time of the crash.
