The gun banners say guns kill 30,000 per year. We know that over half those are suicides so we pro-gunners point that out. Those numbers, IIRC, come from the CDC. However, the Justice Department has different numbers that puts gun homicdes at about 12,000.

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Ownership is having a tough time:

Two investigations against pro-gun rights groups that were initiated by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence turned up no evidence of wrongdoing.

The FEC said that in both cases, one against the National Rifle Association and the other against the Gun Owners of America, it could find no evidence that either

Much like inventing assault weapons, the anti-gunners continue to invent new issues. The latest seems to be guns that are not black, which is funny since the ban on weapons that look like assault weapons mostly affected the black guns. And the media parrot the line. CNN discovers guns and paint; PSH ensues.

Seems Ben Fordney (a board member for an anti-gun group though neither he nor the paper he wrote mentioned that) is peddling some half-truths about how pro-gun folks disrupted some sort of hippie, tree-hugging anti-gun protest. He’s leads one to believe that armed men were having their way with these peace full hippies who were just trying to lie down and sing.
