Already, numerous groups have applied for licenses to peacefully assemble across the street from the Democratic convention. There is also a significant amount of people who aren't applying for licenses, and just plan on showing up to protest.

Regardless of how you feel personally about Ms. Honkala, one thing is certain, she has brought attention to the plight of those without homes and the poor.

And she's about to bring some additional attention to Nashville's population of poor and the homeless, too.....

Apparently not. But there is one worth reading.

I’ve been a civil rights activist all of my life. From being tear gassed at age eight, to civil disobedience to marches, I was there. Of equal importance to me was the rights of women. I spent a good part of my youth, and still spend a significant amount of time as an older person on these issues.

Seriously, CNB is alive and well over at ‘Making it Rain, and making wry.   A few weeks ago an anchor over on the Golf Channel told a probably mostly unamused audience that the best way for young golfers to challenge Tiger Wood would be to ‘take him an alley and lynch him’.   Stupid, yes.
