The human mind is a funny thing. It files things away in a seemingly random way and brings memories up out of nowhere. It also seems to have a great editing feature as it will often change the memories to only show the good (or sometimes bad) in a person or situation.

Personally, I think a person born to American citizens meets the "natural born citizen" clause, though if it weren't, it does show great timing on the part of Barack Obama's parents, as he was born 2 years after Hawaii was granted Stat

A common theme among many of the Homeless Vets I work with on a daily basis. From "ruler of my domain" to "just another brick in the wall," the transition is often more difficult than they can face.

And our lack of support, services and resources to assist them as they transition should be viewed as a travesty beyond words. That we cannot offer the men and women who put their lives on the line defending us and our country is just a shameful disgrace.

This is the day of the big announcement. I believe I was abducted by aliens because I’ve officially lost a year of my life.  Remember when I said I couldn’t remember 8th grade?  Eighth grade occurred in one of the years we lived in North Dakota.  And Mom told me I got another “fact” wrong again yesterday.  We lived in NoDak-Land (as we called it) from 1971 (not 72) to 1975 (not 76).  So there is a year missing somewhere in my life.
