The New York Times editorial board joins a growing number of lefties who are dismayed about the fact that Barack Obama is screwing his base. And this one was obviously penned before Barack Obama declared his new and not improved position on abortion.

There is no measurable bottom to the depth of the diseased liberal mind:

After 22 years in prison, former death row inmate Paul House is going home now that a judge has reduced his bond to $100,000.

The U.S. Supreme Court has released its opinion in Kennedy v. Louisiana, regarding the constitutionality of sentencing a person to death for the rape of a child in which no murder occurs. Patrick Kennedy is the first person in the country in the modern era of the death penalty to receive such a sentence.

In a 5-4 vote, the court said the Louisiana law allowing the death penalty to be imposed in such cases [of child rape] violates the Constitution's ban on cruel and unusual punishment.
