Thank you to all of the volunteers from the Southeast Davidson community who came out to help Mayor Karl Dean, his Director of the Mayor's Office of Children and Youth Danielle Mezera and the outstanding leaders of the First Day Festival. We were responsible for crowd control, helping to fill the backpacks, distribute flyers and prepare for the event.

Apparently, those Nigerian scammers have learned from experience that we’re wise to them. I’ve gotten an email twice now from “MRS Sandra Moore from UNITED KINGDOM” whose husband passed away, leaving her with aproximately “$5.2 million United States Dollars” which neither she nor her husband want to go to his relatives.
