City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation has teamed up with River Sports to offer bicycle rentals at Volunteer Landing. The grand opening is tomorrow, August 19, at 2PM. The cost is $10 per person for a two-hour rental, or $30 for all day. And here's a nice map of Knoxville's bicycle greenways.

When I think about all the reasons for taking public transportation, I've noticed they all sort of magically rhyme and sound really succinct. And I hear the faintest little strum of an acoustic guitar just accenting the hell out of the whole business.

And I’m not talking about football either.  :)  I’m talking about another retail opportunity our community has wanted/needed.  I’m talking about retail that we all will benefit from.  It doesn’t matter  what your taste are, there will be something for everyone I am sure.(unless you just have to shop somewhere else).

I was wrong.  The Chick-fil-A in Carmel, Indiana I played today didn’t bring me in for a grand opening.  Nope.  They’ve been open since December 2006!  Today, was what they called “Camp Chick-fil-A.” It’s one of a week’s worth of themed days - creating some fun for families in their community and a lot of buzz.
