If you missed Larry Daughtrey's op/ed in yesterday's Tennessean, I encourage you to give it a read . . . it provides a vignette of the Liberal comfort with "rule of man."

I can’t find Tom Humphrey’s article entitled “Nobody goes till finances resolved” from Sunday’s paper either by searching for all of Tom’s articles or by title, so I apologize, I can’t give you a link.

It looks like the tax increases planned by Governor Bredesen and Revenue Commissioner Reagan Farr may be in trouble. The bill has stalled.  And it appears it will remain in that state–a legislative coma, if you will.

An interesting press release from the Lamar Alexander people today. The Senator has progressed in his work towards a new GI Bill and one of the most interesting aspects of his new proposal is the ability to transfer the benefit to a loved one.

Given the current, and likely future, circumstances with gas and transportation it would seem those monies should
be open to making the best moves possible. Whatever that may be. Which could be mass transit, via passenger rail lines, etc.

A note to your representative would be good.
