The old saying "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" is dead on for helping keep folks from hitting the bricks.

There is no doubt that in some locales, the fire risk by "illegal" campers is off the charts.

In the era of the superrich, if a place is truly beautiful, ordinary people can't afford to be there.

Pssst. Let me let you in on a little secret. This is exactly how the housing market began crashing in northeastern California and northwestern Nevada a couple of years ago. The inventory increased but prices held for a while, until folks got panicky and then started lowering their bottom lines.

A "new" street code?

Hardly.

Snitches and rats have always been looked upon by street peeps with about the same disdain and disgust as a child molester. In fact, I witnessed a murdered man who ended up that way as a result of his snitch status right after I began serving my sentence back in the 90s for growing the evil weed. This took place at High Desert prison in Northeastern California as I began my reception.
