The school board will decide tonight whether to go ahead with the student rezoning plan that has polarized the city along racial lines like something out of the Sixties.

Okay so yeah. I’ve bought into the while gas panic thing. I’m sitting in a line at a Truckstops of America, about 35 cars back from pump as someone rolls up and points to Shell station up the road with promises of more pumps.

I have a musical surprise up my sleeve and today I contacted a couple of incredible engineers I’d like to work with here in Nashville to get it off the ground.  I’m not used to being the record label, the guy calling around to get prices and build budgets, but I’m it.  Just little ol’ me.  Just a boy.  Standing in front of an engineer.  Asking him to love me.

On our last night together in Uganda, Compassion International’s last team of traveling bloggers sat around a table and processed what we’d just experienced together.  There was a lot of laughter, a lot of questioning, a lot of encouragement and a lot of promises.

Life interfered last night, and I was not near a TV to watch the speech. I’m sure that it was a rousing speech, Obama does excel at speechcraft. So, I’m going through it, little by little here.
