I had some great conversations this morning at the Nashville Geek Breakfast. Several of the topics touched upon some things that I have been thinking about - a lot - lately.

I’d forgotten what a nightmare it is to drive on rural roads in the dark in the snow.  But Mom needed to go to the eye doctor and so we went.  We left Dad at home alone, which I found more nerve wracking than trying to figure out if we were still on the road.

We came home the interstate, which was, of course, clear.  I don’t know why we didn’t take that to begin with.

I was supposed to be on a local radio station to play and talk a little around the lunch hour today.  Then I was planning on finishing up a couple new songs after that.  But I woke up late this morning with very little voice and an incredible irritating healing itch in my throat.  I sound a lot like Harvey Fierstein - without the lisp.

So I’m taking my own advise and saying nothing until show time tonight - staying off the radio and away from people and conversation.
