Fantastic weekend.  How could it be anything but with three days off in a row.

i haven’t died. i promise. we are still waiting for our internet to be hooked up at home (thursday…as i cross my fingers) and my computer for work should arrive tomorrow (again, crossing my fingers - it was supposed to be in today!)

Last weekend I was up in Chicago for the finals of the Barclay’s Churchill Cup. Billymac covered most of the trip at his place, so you can get the full run down there–I’ll just concentrate on poker.

Thanks for all the nice responses.  Seems like we will keep plugging along here on the ‘heap … which gives me a renewed sense of energy.  I am thinking of making a gallery and blogging change in the future (moving to Apple’s MobileMe) … sometime mid July or so, which I think will be a better platform for us.

Parts of it, anyway.

This morning, I had to do one of those standard fasting visits to the doctor’s office. No big deal; I was in at 9:30 and out within the hour, and I’ve never minded giving a little blood.

So I'm sipping my coffee and minding my own bidness this morning, reading my e-mail and listening to classical music out on my back deck. It's sunny and a light breeze is wafting the fragrance of my Casablanca lily across the yard. Then I come upon this mass-forwarded email from somebody named Lowdog:
