Gas prices fall: 22 days and counting

The national average price for a gallon of gas slips to $3.836. Only 10 states are above $4 a gallon.

Yesterday's USA Today carried Gov. Phil Bredesen's last-ditch attempt to get on Barack Obama's vice presidential short list. Today, via the Wall Street Journal, Phil threw in the towel.

Because the band's album American Beauty is on sale for $1.99. Incredible that two of these album downloads cost less than one gallon of gas.

Just a couple of thoughts in the midst of a busy day.

I was filling up last night in Nashville for today’s drive to Montgomery and Stewart counties, and for the first time, at Trousdale and Sidco Drive, I paid $4 a gallon for regular gas.
