jaunt

Seriously, school starts next week? Where did the summer go? It feels like it was just a month ago that we were heading out on our jaunt across America but that was really 2 1/2 months ago? That's not right.

As a Farragut resident I'm confronted almost daily with the traffic snarl that has grown up around the Turkey Creek shopping district. Bad as it is now, my most recent jaunt into the future showed how much worse it could get. (Yes, I have a time machine, and no, you can't borrow it to zip forward and check out the next Microsoft or Google so you can invest early and retire young.

Sunday is almost at an end. I'm grateful for the reprieve the workweek will bring. He's so hopeful, yet so unable to talk, to hear me. He's so busy blaming himself, I don't think he can see past his past.

Midway through our Kauai adventure, we took a 1/2 day ATV tour along Kipu Kai & Hule'ia rivers on a beautiful cattle ranch.

A Bean tradition, at least on this trip, was for everyone getting to pick an activity of their choosing.

It pains me to write this post, because I will not be able to attend one of my favorite annual conferences,

I have started a new thing with my Twitter followers today. Once a day I will ask a question. It could be something silly or serious. Who knows. At the end of the day I will post the question and the answers I get on here. I think that this could be interesting. Let’s see what you guys think!

The feeling of dread regarding the upcoming company is palpable.

I've forgotten just how difficult pretending can be. We have to be on our game for at least most of the visit.

Still have a bunch of things to do, and get. But tomorrow and Wednesday will be wasted by this little jaunt to Johnson City.
