alarm clocks

I have one of those alarm clocks that has a cd player in it.  I don’t always use the cd alarm to wake up and if I do, the Snooze is usually hit before much music plays.

Not this morning.

Soon, very soon, we will be at the beach. Katie and I didn’t get a summer vacation last year (thanks a lot, C), so we’re both extra excited about our vacation this year.

I’ve already got a stack of books ready to be packed, and I’ve ordered some new swimming trunks. We’re making a list, and soon we’ll be assembling the beach gear.

For a bargain-hunting, eBay-shopping, estate-sale junkie like me, it's frustrating that, as a rule, the restaurant industry doesn’t have sales. (Please, don’t come at me with your dollar-menu meal deals. You know what I mean. And we both know that the daily special is not a sale.

Since kindergarten started back up earlier this month (cue the gospel choir praise Jesus music), things have run fairly smoothly in the mornings. Lunches and snacks and coffee have been prepared at night. Clothes have been laid out. Alarm clocks have been set.
