We'll see more widespread coverage of rainfall this afternoon as a front nears our area.

My family was awoken to rumbling of thunder around 3 o'clock this morning. It became more numerous with frequent lightning strikes. I made the decision to get our 7 month-old out of her crib. It was a good decision as the lightning was striking close around us with loud booms of thunder.

Morning temperatures across the Plateau are in the middle 40's this morning. By this afternoon, we will see highs reach 75° here on the Plateau and even warmer towards the Nashville metro area.
