Have you seen the Jerry Seinfeld / Bill Gates commericals for Microsoft? I laughed when I saw the one below. I think it's cute!

The MAC vs. PC commericals are just hilariously brilliant (I admit I'm easily amused). Whatever ad agency was tapped to come up with a campaign to rival them, I do not envy. Tough act to follow.

How was I to know when I got dressed this morning?

This afternoon as my coworker Duane and I were meeting downtown with the ad agency working on our new logo, a storm started kicking up outside. It was just beginning to rain as we got up to leave, and the wind was fierce. I, of course, was wearing a billowy skirt that hit just above the knee. That is, when the wind isn’t gusting — in the wind, it hits just above the shoulder.

“Have it your way.” is a Burger King slogan. It seems that their way involves porn and cavity searches at airports. Yes, an ad agency has created a whole new set of tray liners - those paper things you throw away that protect your food from the poorly washed trays.

The latest advertising campaign by Absolut Vodka for Mexico, created by Teran|TBWA, is causing controversy online. The creative for the campaign returns the lay of the land in the Americas to what it once was. The map depicts the whole of California as still part of Mexican territory, sporting its former name of Alta California - higher California.

Where I (sometimes) work is an ad agency, the President of which is a Michigan grad. The lowest man on the totem pole around here, the newest hire, is fresh out of Appy State. In fact, he was at that glorious game in the Big House last weekend. The President has been reminded several times this week that Appy State put the beat-down on Michigan last Saturday. It has been a beautiful thing to watch.
