I have developed some allergy issues over the last few days.  My nose is all stuffy/runny/sneezy so I’m walking around with tissues stuffed everywhere just like my grandma does.  You never know when you’ll need a tissue.

Having spent the last two decades in the high desert, when I came to Nashville and began wandering the streets in the middle of the summer, by 2pm or so I was just about delirious from the heat and especially the humidity.

Go to Doks Emporium. They’re selling a 1/12 scale working (as in you can hook it up to cable) television. Why 1/12 scale, you ask? Who would want one? People with dollhouses, silly. That’s the scale used in a dollhouse and since houses from the 1960s onward had TVs, what better way to decorate the living room?

My new cable box was delivered yesterday, very exciting. I was able to catch up on the first episode of Season 2 of The Tudors on Showtime so that made my night.

We were struck by lightning last Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. After eight or more hours without electricity, we are still without some modern conveniences as a DVD player and garage door opener. I want my, I want my garage door opener! I’m using an old laptop to post, but I hope to have my desktop computer minus its ethernet up and running tomorrow.

This morning, while driving into work and listening to the Nano, I counted 27 plastic bags hanging from trees. That’s almost 2 plastic bags per mile.
