There are plenty of reasons not to like Packers GM Ted Thompson, but unlike many of my fellow green-and-gold bleeders, I don’t think letting Favre go was one of them. Favre’s perennial will-he-or-won’t-he retirement drama had become a huge distraction, and the team was going to have to find a new QB, whether it was in 2008, 2009, or 2010.

Questions abound within Vol Nation about Lane Kiffin. My initial reaction was that AD Mike Hamilton made a short-sighted choice to save money and this year's recruiting class. But I have now changed...

I had to post this video.
Chris Johnson runs for 68 yards, leaps at least 12 feet through the air, lands and rolls in the end zone and scores his one of the Titan’s 4 TD’s on the way to a 34-10 drubbing of hapless Kansas City, and immediately runs to and starts playing a [...]

Hilarity ensues.

I don't think that was how most of us thought the game would go, but the only thing that matters is the Titans are 3-0 for the first time since 1999.  The defense gave up a bunch of yards and were tackled sloppily, but were able to hold the Texans to field goals for the most part.  It was good to see Cortland Finnegan put the game away with a 99-yard interception return for a TD.

It feels good to be 2-0.  The Titans have typically been slow starters so it is a relief to see them win their first two.

Kerry Collins looked good today.  His numbers weren't staggering, 12-21, 128, 1 TD, but he put up exactly the numbers this team needs from thier quarterback.

That was pretty much what we expected.  The Titans defense was awesome only allowing the Jaguars to rush for 33 yards.   Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew carried 14 times for 31 yards.  The defense sacked David Garrard 7 times, and Cortland Finnegan picked him off twice.  The only TD they allowed came off of a Vince Young interception that gave the Jags the ball at th

It was really good to see football being played at LP Field again.  The Titans looked pretty impressive all the way around tonight.  The one piece of tonight's game that was a little disappointing was the first team offense, but they weren't on the field enough to really get a feel for where they are.  We will get to see more of them in the next 2 games.
