If you had purchased $1,000.00 of Delta Air Lines stock one year ago, you would have $49.00 left.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1,000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

This is part three in my series of the top 10 people to listen to in folk/country/bluegrass genre.  Lori McKenna is an artist I have listened to for several years. I still don’t have all her music, but it is on my “to get soon” list. I have her latest album ‘Unglamorous’ and one of her older ones ‘The Kitchen Tapes’.

So on Friday, the Knoxville News Sentinel kicks off the morning with a top of the fold front page headline about gas shortages.  WNOX follows suit.  And we’re off into a panic.

Added in the mix, a paid media blogger who generated even more panic and what did we get?

Panic. And hostility.  And fear.  And folks filling up their red cans (for backup).

This week, we're taking another look at a specific brewery - Oskar Blues, out of Colorado. Oskar Blues' beer just arrived here in Nashville, and we're very excited to see it in town. As one of the pioneer craft breweries who cans their beer, Oskar Blues is making major headway in proving that just because beer is in a can doesn't mean it's not world-class.

Yesterday I wrote about how Becky and I have tried to simplify our thinking about simplicity.  Today is all about how we’ve, over the last three years, simplified how we live as a result of that kind of thinking.  I want to be clear though that we have not “arrived” - whatever that is - but we feel we’re still in transition toward simplicity.
