Hey, you know how some talented bloggers carefully craft each blog entry as if it were a column and each piece is a feature that can stand alone and be enjoyed time and again?

I was at work on Tuesday night when the weather was turning bad and yes it did get bad around2am with the rain coming down sideways and the wind blowing so hard that the trash cans outside the bowling center blew into the parking lot. I know from the news repports earlier in the night that the cities of Franklin and Nashville had their tornado sirens going off during the first wave of storms. I want to ask our city officals why dont we have sirens here in our city?

We were lucky last night in Neliganville.

Took shelter in the basement once with the family and Sheriff Itchy.

Note from Barb N: Sheriff Itchy hates storms, by the way. Not that he's afraid of them, because he's not. He just hates them.

Got up at midnight and two a.m. when tornado sirens cranked up, but all in all we came through unscathed and for that we are grateful.

As news of the damage came through it seemed so surrreal, and our thoughts and prayers go out

I hardly ever remember my dreams. And if I'm reading someone's blog and they start talking about a dream, I go on about my merry way without reading.

However, two nights ago I had a major tornado dream. The sky looked like the sky toward the end of the Wizard of Oz, except instead of flying monkeys, the sky was full of tornadoes of all sizes. And I was running from shelter to ditch with several folks, playing dodge the next twister.
