quitting time

There’s no way this (work) day is almost over.

And if my new computer part doesn’t arrive soon, I’m going to go nuts. Having to work completely off of a second monitor is very frustrating, especially because I never know when the new part will arrive and whether the part will work.

On most work days, I eat a baked potato for lunch. Often I have some green beans to go with it. It’s a pretty dern healthy meal, as these things go, and it’s lacking enough in calories that I’m usually quite hungry by quitting time. 

I obviously wasn’t clear in my last post, but what I’d meant was that it was about time to pack up for the trip home, and the baby had just fallen asleep. I try very much not to let her be unhappy for our 30+ minute commute, because there’s really nothing I can do for the fussy baby in the car but let her be unhappy.

This has not been an easy week.  And this post will likely never get read or commented on since it’s posted so close to (or past) quitting time on Friday.  But there are some things that must be said and shown.

Since I've got a few days off, I'm going to blog pretty much all day tomorrow, from whenever I get up until a typical late-afternoon quitting time. If there's any topic you'd like Coolfer to touch upon, send me an email and let me know.

My new job has some difficult requirements.  I'm expected to go to the college's athletic events.  Basketball, track and wrestling is in season and tennis and baseball is about to start.   It's hard to make it to the wrestling and track but so far I've been to four basketball games and I'm telling you that is some tough duty.
