I tuned in for the Republican debate last night and noted some curious things -

It's odd to me the most prominent thing in the Reagan Library is an airplane. I understand wanting to include the airplane, but maybe they should have called the facility the Reagan Memorial and Museum.

Last night was the last major Republican debate before Super Tuesday. It started off with Mitt Romney and John McCain answering the question from Anderson Cooper, "Are we better off now than we were 8 years ago." Stunningly, Romney and McCain said we were, though McCain said he would offer some straight talk and mentioned a few problems, like the economy.

After a distant third place finish in the Florida primary last night, Rudy didn't make a concession speech, but two GOP sources have said he will make the announcement in California today, before the Republican debate this evening.

Rudy bet the farm on Florida, and it turned out to be a very bad strategy. Rudy was counting on getting the Jewish vote with his pro Israel, anti Islamic rhetoric, but he miscalculated since most Jews, old and young, tend to be Democrats.
