How can the US claim to be a superpower if we don't have monkey waiters??

This week marks the 63rd anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on the civilian populations of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. On August 9th, 1945 at 11:01am the United States of America dropped a nuclear bomb on a pre-designated city in Japan killing 80,000 people in the second of two nuclear attacks.

You may or may not recall that the US told Japan that the US Houston had leaked radioation for a few months. Now, it appears that the radiation leak has been going on since 2006 — 2 years.

Its a wonderful day to kick back, remember and celebrate what the 4th of July means. I think far too often we get caught up in all the festivities of events and forget to remember why in the world we are actually celebrating. Maybe you don’t, but I know Andi and I do from time to time.
