Some news and bits of info from around the area….

The Knoxville News-Sentinel is reporting Claiborne County Sheriff David Ray was placed on a two-year pre-trial diversion program today and ordered to perform 250 hours of community service.

Well lemme tell ya.

It's SO bad, I read everything in my Reader (oh yes I did) and then kept going back yesterday over and over, looking to see if someone, anyone, had posted something new.

Every now and then, my boss (& dad) gives me a clothing allowance to help me build up my professional wardrobe.

Zappos is just awesome. I ordered a new pair of dress shoes on Friday, and they arrived last night with no shipping fees. I tried on the shoes and decided they were a hair too big, so I called them this morning, and they said the new shoes will be here tomorrow free of charge. All I have to do is return - again, free of charge - the old shoes within two weeks.

"Do you want to take the class?” she asked.

I looked at the five and six year-olds in fluffy snow jackets and knit hats topped with little pom poms of yarn.  Not an old guy in the bunch.  “No, I think I can figure it out,” I said.
