There are plenty of reasons not to like Packers GM Ted Thompson, but unlike many of my fellow green-and-gold bleeders, I don’t think letting Favre go was one of them. Favre’s perennial will-he-or-won’t-he retirement drama had become a huge distraction, and the team was going to have to find a new QB, whether it was in 2008, 2009, or 2010.

Dear Mr. Snyder,

As a life-long Washington Redskins fan, I've watched some of the off-field moves you've made since acquiring the franchise. That's why I'm writing to you today.

Last night was the Party of the week. . .month. . .season! It was our American Idol Fantasy League Party! And what better night to party and watch with your friends than when ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER is the guest! Because you know you will walk away with some one-liner gems.

Fantasy baseball is my favorite of all the fantasy sports.  I am going to be setting up a Music City Miracles league, much like I did for fantasy football, if we have enough interest.  I would like to get 12 teams, but if we can get at least 10 I will be happy.  It will be a rotisserie 5x5 standard league.  Leave you email address in the comments if you are interested.

I’m not sure I can accomplish all of what has transpired since last Tuesday into one blog post. So maybe I’ll just work from there and have some follow ups tomorrow and Wednesday.

It wasn’t so much that I wasn’t at work, I actually was at work, but getting back into the swing of things from Thanksgiving coupled with the fact that it was a really busy week, just made little time for blogging. Christmas is coming and the days are whirling by. Just remember to stop from time to time to take a nice deep breath and enjoy the season.  This only comes around once a year, and there are only 22 days left before the big day.  Enjoy them!
