Whew.

For some reason, the Vols are trying to get my blood pressure up this weekend with their wins. First Friday's game and then going to overtime today. But the good news is--the Vols now have a one in sixteen shot at cutting down the nets two weeks from Monday.

I don’t know if I’m even going to to through the formalities of picking a bracket for this year’s NCAA tournament. I’m already getting some cheap shots at work (and yes every Friday I’m going to wear some Carolina paraphernalia  until the Heels bow out or the nets are cut down, whichever comes first).

A Belmont University friend of mine made sure that I had tickets to this year's Atlantic Sun basketball tournament. I made it to several games and discovered a lot of great basketball, mid-major style. I also discovered something that I think this set of mid-majors can do without.

Dear 104.5 the Zone,

I realize that you're the flagship station for Vanderbilt and because of that I shouldn't really expect a kind word thrown UT's way very often. And I also understand that one the jobs of your morning sports team is to create waves, generate calls and build ratings so you can make money and stay on the air. And I suppose that when it all comes down to it, I brought this upon myself by making the mistake of tuning in to your station this morning.
