Hounddog, starring Dakota Fanning, is a film about the 1950s, gender, race, class, and female sexuality. Oh yeah, and Elvis. Hounddog is in theaters now and was directed by, gasp, a woman!

"There's more to fill up all that emptiness than just Elvis."

My house is quiet. Lily is sleeping and the boys have left for school. I need to try to keep myself engaged in other things today so I do not sit around feeling sad all day. I am sad. I am very sad. I don't want to mask it, but I don't want to wallow in it either.

seriously. At any rate
the Lord plays and diverts Himself in the garden of His creation, and if
we could let
go of our own obsession with what we think is the meaning of it all, we
might be able

Lufthansa has an amusing (though logo-filled) Flash game on their Web site: You get a map of North America and Europe, and a graphic of a Lufthansa aircraft flying from JFK to somewhere across the Atlantic. The name of the destination city flashes on the screen and you have a few seconds to click on the appropriate location for the plane to land before it crashes.
