Hot weather is the rule for Middle Tennessee today! While we will see low 90's here in Cookeville, others to our west will go even higher. Rain chances, however, increase for Tuesday and Wednesday.

I love summer. I like hot weather mostly because I hate being cold, I guess. But I also like what happens in summer. Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries start summer off for me. We grew blueberries, strawberries and raspberries at the old house, but haven’t gotten them all in this year so I’m deprived.

It takes several days for Jerusalem to regroup after Purim. Although the rest of Israel, and the Jewish world, celebrate Purim immediately after the Fast of Esther, Jerusalemites take an extra day before they party hardy. So, while the rest of us used Shabbat to clear our heads, Jerusalemites had a whole day to rest up for the event.
