Why is this headline news? Sadly, it's not in America. In fact, it's all too normal here.
A teenager who was shot dead not only made the front page of one of the bigger British papers, but it was breaking news.
He wasn't famous, he was a teenager like any other teenager.
So why front page breaking news?

Gallup has interesting polling data on how Americans view foreign countries. The results are fairly predictable; the most popular countries being
Canada (92% favorable to 6% unfavorable)
Great Britain (89%-7%)
Germany (82%-13%
Japan (80%-15%)
Israel (71%-25%)
The unpopular nations were likewise fairly predictable:
