A friend of mine recently IM’d me a blog post arguing against the proposed bailout for Detroit — I think it was this one — with a comment to the effect of “this is why I don’t like the Democrats OR Bush”.

Slate has an interesting piece that dissects the McCain healthcare plan. Essentially, it says that it is a Robin Hood plan that attempts to solve soaring heath insurance costs with the same tactics that were used to curb credit card abuses in the 1970s.
