Yesterday we talked about the wise men and how their story is not a prescription for giving stuff to people as much as it is an inspiration to give ourselves to God.  Today, I’m suggesting that Christmas gifts are to most kids what milk is to mine.

I am not going to get into the social issues in this post as much but there are some interesting possible scenarios that would really put Republicans up over the top going into an election year. Some of those things depend on the economy but one key factor that could help Tennessee Republicans in a big way (Again) is Barry Obama and the Democrats at the national level.

As one looks out a window this morning, you almost have to do a 'double-take' to see if that was snow, ice, or frost on the ground.  Upon further investigation, it was frost with a combination of frozen precipitation!  I noticed black ice had formed on our neighborhood streets.  It should melt as the sun rises and more traffic hits the street.

While it isn't the norm and you won't find it everywhere, gas prices have hit the sub $3 mark at some Middle Tennessee stations.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gas Monday morning was $3.38 a gallon, down from $3.43 a gallon Sunday.
