"There's something I need to tell you about where we're going," Hubs said enigmatically as we drove toward the mall.

"What?" I asked.

He looked toward the backseat meaningfully, where Punky sat, quietly watching us from her carseat.

"Ee-way eed-nay o-tay uy-bay a inkahay orse-nay."

Well, I've been all NavelGazia McGriperton lately, so this is coming not a moment too soon. The migraine has just reached the two-day mark, I about had a meltdown at school today, and I'm nowhere near ready to teach anyone anything tomorrow (or any other time soon, for that matter). Thus, it will be good for all of us if I can focus on something besides myself.

Just about every day I spend at least 5-10 minutes of my life at a standstill because Nashville drivers don’t understand the simple concept of merging.

Yesterday I picked H up from school to take her to her basketball coach, and as she threw her things into the backseat and jumped into the car, I asked how her day had gone.

"It was great!" she said.

A couple of beats later, she said, "Well, it really was a crummy day, but I had a good attitude so that made it great."

Go Mama!

J.J. is not a big fan of car seats... he often tugs at his straps, exclaiming "I'm stuck!"

This evening, he thought he would be just fine riding in the back, with a view:
