Mary Winkler wins another battle in court. This time she’s been given permanent full custody of her children.

Matthew Winkler had no comment as he’s STILL DEAD.

Just in time to start the school year, Mary Winkler’s children have been returned to her, after several years of her in-laws trying to stop Mary from raising her children.

Just when there seemed to be no news on Mary Winkler for the longest time comes word she’s getting her daughters back.

….Former state Rep. Mark Goins of LaFollette withdrew from the Republican primary for the 36th House District, which covers Campbell and Union counties. Two other Republicans remain, Chad Faulkner of Luttrell and Vic King of LaFollette.

It was one year ago today that a jury in Selmer, Tennessee, convicted Mary Winkler of voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of her preacher-husband, Matthew. Mary spent seven months in custody, with two months served in a mental facility. She is still seeking custody of her children.

For the past week all’s been quiet on the preacher/husband killing front. Not that that has slowed the thirst for information on all things Mary Winkler. For weeks now it has been the most–searched–for item from folks finding their way to this blog. But not much has happened since a court hearing last week allowed Winkler access

Mary Winkler is reportedly unemployed and single again. One report back in November indicated she left her dry cleaning job in McMinnville because she needed more hours. Her boss, Paul Pillow, wouldn’t comment on why she left except to say:

Everybody in town is so glad she’s back.
