Find more posts like this: This is a huge obstacle in finding housing for the folks I deal with, exacerbated by a rather mismanaged court records system that continually provides incorrect information to landlords about prospective tenants. For example, one of my clients was evicted in 2001 for nonpayment of rent after he was struck and hospitalized by a hit and run driver. The apartment complex sued my client, received a judgment, and my client paid off the debt as soon as he was able to return to work. |
